With this package, developed by Alessandro Francesconi (me) and Gian Piero Limone for the computing software Wolfram Mathematica, you can transform a simple image into its anaglyphed version. Anaglyphs are images composed by two color layers that, with the use of special glasses, enable a simple 3D effect.
This tool lets you create and play with such kind of images in various modes: passing a stereo pair already taken with a special camera, passing the image and its grayscale depth map, or trying to infer depth using an algorithm developed by us (not so accurate, but still interesting).
